Some of our unfortunate students have complained of the weird problem so we decided to show you a “detour” method to save your precious profiles.
1. In 3ds Max, select a part you want to export.
2. Click Export-Export Selected.
3. Select AutoCAD (*.DWG) as file type to be saved and type in file name.
4. Click OK.
5. Run AutoCAD 2011
6. Go to Open-Drawing.
7. Open the DWG file you saved in 3ds Max.
8. You will be able to see the profiles. Click Export-Other Formats.
9. Select Encapsulated PS (*.eps) in Files of type and type in file name.
10. Open Illustator.
11. Open the EPS file you saved in AutoCAD.
12. Save it in AI format.
