Week 4

Things to Do

1. Sketch the latest iteration of your project.

 

2. Present your development to your tutors. Discuss your iterations and how your direction relates to your precedents

 

3. Experiment with texture mapping; especially Bump mapping, Specular level and Opacity mapping.

 

4. Experiment with lighting, especially Omni Lighting > General Lighting parameters, intensity/colour/attenuation and shadow parameters. Use 3ds Max help.

 

5. You will be given a brief demonstration about navigating cameras, lights and other useful tips to help with the rendering of your models. Experiment with these during class.

 

Independent Study

1. Complete any tasks not completed in class.

 

2. Make an arrangement that shows 60 of your 81 models, save it to your folder.
