Deadlines/Presentations

Submissions

1. 3 Words (a, n, v; 1 each)

                Ex) Fat;Dogs;Fly. Stinky;Hogs;Oink.

2. 2+ Precedent Images

                The cool stuff you’ve found to get yourself inspired

3. 8+ Development Images

                Your freehand sketches, screen captures of 81 iterations, rendering trials, etc.

4. 1 Image of 81 Iterations

                Make your own creative way: You may arrange all the 81 models on a single plane, you can make a placeholder something like an image of photo film to put 81 separately made small images on, or                 (intentionally left blank, fill with your creativity)

5. 1 Best Rendered Image

                This is your hero or glamour shot. Use interesting combinations of Materials, Textures, Background Images, Lights, Cameras, etc.

 

Things to Do

1. Post all the stuff mentioned above (1 to 5) on your blog before your deadline.

*  Hi-res (larger then 1000 x 1000 in pixel) images are recommended.

2. Save 4 and 5 above (2 images AND corresponding 3ds Max files; therefore at least 4 files in total) in your folder at following locations before your deadline:


R:\Hand-ins\DSDN\DSDN104\Project 1\Your_Name (Will be locked up on deadline)

R:\Hand-ins\DSDN\DSDN104\Assessment 1 Late\Your_Name (After deadline)

 

Name your files something like

“John_Doe_81_iterations.max” “John_Doe_81_iterations.jpg”

“Jane_Doe_final.max” “Jane_Doe_final.jpg”

 

Deadlines

Stream A: Monday 28th March 3pm (If you have classes on M/R 3:40-6:30 in 319)

Stream B: Tuesday 29th March 1pm (If you have classes on T/F 1:40-4:30 in 322)

Stream C: Tuesday 29th March 3pm (If you have classes on T/F 3:40-6:30 in 319)

Stream D: Monday 28th March 3pm (If you have classes on M/R 3:40-6:30 in 226)

Failure to meet your deadline may subject you to a penalty as prescribed in course outline.

 

Presentations

Streams A&D: Monday 28th March at 3:40pm in LT1

Streams B: Tuesday 29th March at 1:40pm in 322

Streams C: Tuesday 29th March at 3:40pm in 319

 

Show your blog and explain your 3 words, design development, 81 iterations and final shot.

Each of you may use up to 3 minutes.
